Bishop Fleming and the Office of Faith Formation is please to host the 2024 Diocesan Youth Event on March 16th and 17th, 2024. The retreat will take place at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Lewistown, Montana. Our theme this year is Saints and Sacraments. The Sacraments selected by the planning team are Confirmation, Eucharist, and Reconciliation. The primary Saints are Blessed Carlo Acutis, Saint Padre Pio, and Blessed Chaira Badano.
This retreat for High School Youth is an overnight event focusing on deepening their knowledge and love of the Sacraments by learning from the Saints popular for their devotions to those Sacraments. Our Keynote speaker is Dan Harms. Dan works for the Archdiocese of Richmond as their Director of Marriage, Family, and Life Ministries. He is an accomplished speaker who travels around the country with Steubenville and other organizations.
Features of the Diocesan Youth Event include:
- Breakout sessions covering the topics in-depth with speakers from around the Diocese
- Small group discussions to allow for youth to express their thoughts and ideas as they move through the weekend
- Adoration and the Sacrament of Reconciliation to allow for youth to express their love for and deepening connection with Jesus
- Games and icebreakers to encourage everyone to meet someone new and to deepen the bonds with those they know
- Three meals and snacks throughout the weekend will be provided
- Celebration of the Holy Mass on Sunday morning
Registration for this event is $35 for youth and adults.
