Permanent Deacons Retreat at Rock Creek in Red Lodge

Deacons and their wives from across the diocese were able to gather for the annual Diocese of Great Falls-Billings Permanent Deacon Retreat, 25-28 August, at Rock Creek in Red Lodge.  Bishop Michael Warfel was the retreat master and made six wonderful presentations on very timely topics for deacons as well as leading discussion.  We were also joined by Coadjutor Bishop Jeffrey Fleming who participated in all activities as well as giving a presentation to help the deacons get to know him better.  We prayed Liturgy of the Hours and celebrated Mass each day along with lots of time set aside for other spiritual activities, reflection and catching up with the other deacons.  The presence of the Holy Spirit was felt strongly throughout the retreat.  The Rock Creek Resort team took very good care of us, and we could not have asked for nicer weather.  We were able to cap off the retreat with Mass at St Agnes in Red Lodge con-celebrated by our two bishops and Father Navel Rodrigues.
