June 30, 2022 was the deadline for dioceses in the United States to submit a Diocesan Synthesis document reflecting the feedback received during the diocesan portion of the Pope’s Universal Synod on Synodality. The Diocese of Great Falls-Billings, under the leadership of Bishop Michael Warfel, conducted a Universal Synod listening session on March 19th, 2022. From that listening session, and other forms of feedback receive by the Chancery Offices, a synthesis document was created and submitted on behalf of the People of God of Eastern Montana. Please continue to pray for this Universal Synod as it now transitions into the regional phase, before moving forward into the national and continental phases. The entire process of this synod will conclude with the Synod of Bishops being held in Rome in 2023.
