New Principal Great Falls Central Catholic High School

Dr. Sean Donnelly, Ed.D

It is with great pleasure that the Diocese of Great Falls-Billings announces that the Great Falls Central Catholic High School Principal Search Committee has selected Sean Donnelly, Ed.D, as the new Principal of Great Falls Central Catholic High School.

The Search Committee was made up of Great Falls Catholic School stakeholders, including administrators, teachers, a board member, and clergy and staff from the Diocese of Great Falls-Billings.

The Principal position was posted in early April 2023 and received numerous applications and resumes from highly qualified candidates.  The candidate applications were screened extensively by the Committee and narrowed down to two finalists.

Originally from Miles City Montana, Dr. Donnelly moved to Great Falls in 2001 and has been an Educator teaching High School Social Studies at Great Falls High School with the Great Falls Public School System.  He has also been actively coaching within the Great Falls Catholic Schools for many years.

Dr. Donnelly and his wife Kelby have five children, all of which have either attended or are still in school within the Great Falls Catholic School System.  The Donnelly family have also been long time parishioners at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

Dr. Donnelly received his undergraduate degree in History from Montana State University-Billings.  He continued on to his graduate studies at Montana State University-Bozeman to complete both his Master’s and Doctoral Degrees in Educational Leadership.

Dr. Donnelly is passionate about working in the education profession and doing everything within his power to ensure a great educational experience for all students.
